I am running for Family Court Judge to support families.
Throughout my career, I have demonstrated the competence, commitment and compassion needed to be a great Jefferson County Family Court Judge.
I am humbled and thrilled to be endorsed by C*Fair, The Political Action Campaign of The Fairness Campaign, Deputy Sheriffs FOP Lodge #25, Louisville Corrections FOP Lodge #77, Louisville Metro FOP #32, Metro Louisville Women's Political Caucus, and IBEW -International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
For the past nine years, I have been an Associate Professor at the University of Louisville Brandeis School of Law. As the Director of the Ackerson Law Clinic, third year law students practice law in Jefferson County Family Court under my supervision. We represent "real life" cases including low income victims of domestic violence.
In addition, I also serve as a Guardian Ad Litem in Jefferson County Family Court. I represent children who have been abused or neglected by their caretaker.
Before UofL, I was a Jefferson County Assistant County Attorney for eight years, prosecuting domestic violence, sexual assault and child abuse cases. And, I started my legal career as a Legal Aid Family Law Attorney, and helped lead the organization as the Associate Director of the Louisville Legal Aid Society.
My 25 years of Family Court experience makes me the perfect candidate for Jefferson County Family Court Judge, in Division 4. Not only do I have the competence, but the compassion and commitment to families in our community.
Please join our campaign and help us support families in our community.
